Pastor Joanes Ogweno Abongo

Pastor Joanes Abongo was the fourth born in a family of eight and the first son after three girls. He was born and raised up in Sindo, Suba south sub county, Homabay County. Joanes has been married to Eunice Achieng for the last 21 years and is still trusting God for the fruit of the womb. Pastor Joanes did his primary at Roo Primary School between 1982 and 1989, then proceeded to Tom Mboya High School between 1990 to 1993 for my O’ level (ordinary secondary school level). He obtained a Bachelor of Theology degree at Jacksonville Baptist Theological University and then a Master of Divinity in Missions and Intercultural studies at International Leadership University (ILU) formerly NIST in Nairobi Kenya. Joanes was called to be a pastor, teacher, and church planter. Presently he serves as a board member and Spiritual Director for Touching Lives Kenya as well as the Program Coordinator for the Touch A Child, Save A Destiny initiative. One of Joanes’ guiding scriptures is found is Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
